EXAMPLE#1 Henry and Julie called us because they owned card and gift store in a mall where a big chain store moved in that also sold cards and gifts. The landlord refused to lower their rent, so they were forced to close. They made countless calls to try and sell the whole inventory and fixtures only to find most didn't show up, and those that did either offered to buy only what they wanted, or made a very low offer for everything. After calling us, in less than 10 days we arranged an auction at their location where over 2 dozen buyers arrived all on one day and bought EVERYTHING in the store for twice the best offer they had gotten from a single buyer, even after our commission and expenses.
EXAMPLE#2 Mr. Anderson called us from a big catalog company that was overstocked with returns and discontinued items and was not happy
with any offers he had received. Buyers wanted to "cherry pick" make a low offer for it all. Mr. Anderson was in a hurry to get the merchandise out of his warehouse to make space for new inventory, but had time to wait for the most he could obtain because the company was not going out of business.
