With the advent of the Internet and faster communication, Cricket Hill Auctioneers & Liquidators was founded in 1994 by Bill Jarema. Mr. Jarema, who began his career as a flea market vendor, local wholesaler and auctioneer's apprentice, quickly realized the potential of this new medium-a company providing such services would be able to broaden its client and customer base and facilitate transactions, while still maintaining excellent service he thought. Mr. Jarema was right indeed.

Headquartered in New York, Cricket Hill is now one of the leading consumer goods, food service, industrial equipment and machinery, and real estate liquidation, auction marketing and appraisal firms in the country. The firm has grown to service over 600 accounts in their acquisition of closeout, excess, surplus and overstock consumer goods; and to conduct, or arrange in partnership with other auctioneers, liquidation, real estate and benefit auction marketing specialists, over 750 events and transactions in the New York metro area and the Northeast, and an additional 1500 events and transactions nationally every year. Despite this volume, Mr. Jarema maintains a policy of a very personal approach, supervising and coordinating each and every event and transaction.
